This project addresses the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the face of climate change.
The study aims to explore the potential of harnessing energy from natural and anthropogenic vibrations with a focus on two technologies: piezoelectric and electromagnetic energy harvesters.
By converting mechanical vibrations into electricity, the project aims to create an innovative and scalable solution to clean and sustainable energy.
The research team will conduct theoretical and technical work, identifying promising vibration sources and designing harvester devices. Collaborations with mining and CCS companies will demonstrate the technology´s applicability.
More specifically, the project aims to improve living conditions in a Chilean city through the provision of clean energy for school lighting and charging points.
Finally, by concentrating on social implementation, the project aligns with the SDG-2030 agenda and promotes affordable and clean energy solutions for sustainable development.
