Purpose and goal:
Qurator.com hosts a open business directory where the public can quickly search for and compare promising sustainability tech solutions and services. We want to help the solution vendors on the directory get visibility and leads through our platform, and for this we need traffic. A key way to generate traffic is through Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of our website.
This project is aimed at building the backbone of Qurator’s SEO strategy. It involved 3 key elements: setting the SEO strategy, implementation of technical SEO and rapid content creation. Expected results and effects:
The project has successfully been concluded, with the following key outcomes: 1) there is now a blueprint, along with the appropriate documentation, for how we will continuously boost our SEO rankings across a wide array of different action pillars, 2) technical SEO has been implemented, and 3) over 4800 pieces of content has been produced, focusing on long-tail keywords.
Approach and implementation:
We engaged an SEO specialist agency to give us a set of guidelines and recommendations to implement. We also received detailed guidance from SEO specialists from our technical platform regarding technical SEO. Subsequently, we formulated a 2-part SEO content strategy:
1. Boosting the number of pre-populated company profiles on our marketplace, to increase the chances of us ranking for company names as keywords.
2. Writing blog articles targeting specific keywords that educate readers about topics around decarbonization and sustainability, and using them to position our platform.
