Arbon Earth

Arbon Earth wants to contribute to solving the climate crisis by removing carbon from the atmosphere and binding it to the seabed. We use algae, bamboo and the vast oceans to create carbon sequestering micro-ecosystems with the intention that they will eventually sink to the sea floor, where they either break down or are buried in the sediment. We have designed them so that they also benefit marine life, as they act as protection for fish and fish fry. Our micro-ecosystems consist only of natural materials and require minimal labor during production.

The world is facing a major crisis, as the effects of climate change escalate. To emerge victorious from this, humanity will likely need to find ways to become net negative in terms of carbon dioxide emissions.

We want to produce negative tonnes of CO2 at sea (CDR) at a low and attractive price. So that society and organizations can get a high effect from their investments in carbon removal, while our work brings other positive benefits for fish and biodiversity. In order to meet the demand, we now need to further develop the product and scale up the business.

With support from Vinnova, we intend to further develop the product, carry out further tests out at sea and compile KPIs, as well as prepare for a sale.

The company is in an early stage and these parts are crucial for the company´s next phase. Our results will also be an important part for verification of negative tons of CO2 according to standards such as ISO 14064:2 and Puro.earth Ocean based CDR.
