Flasheye Mining Solutions site automation and safety with 3D lidar

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the trip to Tucson, AZ was to get a better understanding from Flasheye´s side of how mining operations in the USA are run and to find potential partners to expand Flasheye´s lidar solutions outside of Sweden. In connection with the visit, several mines and live guarantors were visited where contacts were made for further discussions, both with local companies but also with other Swedish companies that participated in the delegation.

Expected results and effects:

Flasheye made several good contacts with potential partners, but the number of system integrators that Flasheye mainly turns to was low as they were mainly end customers that we visited. However, the discussions were fruitful and gave Flasheye a clear picture of how the products can be adapted to appeal to the American market.

Approach and implementation:

Flasheye made no contact before the trip with any local company, so no meetings beyond those planned during the delegation were carried out. Before similar trips, contacts will be made even earlier and better materials will be produced to really reach out to local companies. The lessons learned from the trip are taken to adapt the material even more for the American companies.
