The goal of WWF´s Economic Forum (WWFEF) is to drive the transition to a sustainable economic system by developing and disseminating research and tools for how nature can be integrated into economic and financial decision-making.
Our vision is that by the end of 2027 Swedish politicians and companies use well-establis models to integrate nature into economic and financial decisions. The project´s primary target groups are decision makers with the opportunity to change policy and regulations within politics and public administration as well as the business sector including the financial sector.
Secondary target groups are researchers and the general public.Expected outputs:Research related to nature-positive economics has been made available and packaged in a popular-science way, including recommendations aimed at decision-makers.
Relevant decision-makers have assimilated research through targeted communication and interpersonal meetings. An annual conference, WWF´s economic forum, has been established for knowledge exchange between decision-makers and academia, where research and measures to integrate nature into economic decision-making through regulations and policies are identified in a co-creative process. The project communication is based on an annual WWFEF report and is carried out through the annual conference, round table discussions, individual meetings as well as dissemination through press, social media, web, newsletters and WWF´s and the research council´s networks.
