Planetary Communications is a communication project with the aim to develop a model and a handbook (Swedish + English) for successful sustainability science communication.
The model is inspired by the research on the planet boundaries and the Stockholm Resilience Centre´s long experience in science communication.
In the project, stakeholders from Sweden and internationally are invited to co-create a synthesis of what is needed to succeed with science communication within sustainability.
Different kinds of competences within, among other things, sustainability communication, scientific research, graphic design, psychology and marketing will be included. The project is divided into four stages:A series of ´Labs´ (creatively designed workshops) with groups of science communication professionalsA communication model for "Planetary communications" inspired by the planetary boundaries frameworkA nicely designed digital and printed handbook where we offer our best tips, which we and the invited stakeholders arrive atCommunication of the handbook in the form of classic media work, dissemination via social media, dialogues/seminars/training eventsThe goal is to reach a large number of communicators nationally and internationally.
And here we refer to communicators in a broad sense, i.e. everyone who wants to convey, popularize or shape research results on sustainable development so that they can be used and create benefit in society.
