AI Factory /RAILWAY - The Evolution

Purpose and goal:

The long-term goal of the ‘AI Factory /RAILWAY (AIF/R)’ initiative is to contribute to the implementation of EGD in Sweden by establishing a dynamic open distributed data lab for data and model sharing that can primarily serve the Swedish railway stakeholders and secondary also other international stakeholders.

Expected results and effects:

AIF/R primary strategy is to evolve the findings from the previous project phase toward enhancing: a) the digital infrastructure; b) the information logistics; and c) the AI-empowered analytics of railway infrastructure and rolling stock. Additionally, AIF/R will organise a dedicated task force which will have the mission of disseminating knowledge on the platform and continuously linking new stakeholders to the consortium.

Approach and implementation:

AIF/R’s activities are grouped in a set of Work Packages (WP). Each WP is dedicated to a focus area of the project. WP:s consist of a set of interconnected activities to enable the achievement of project’s overall objective. AIF/R implements an agile approach for project (based on XMLP) and Lab development (based on Scrum). The relationship between AIF/R’s Use cases (UCs) and WPs are described in the project description.
