AI as a tool to strengthen volunteering in Sweden

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to improve the matching between non-profit organizations and volunteers through AI technology. The goal is more efficient matching of volunteers with organizations and volunteering opportunities, which increases the possibility for both non-profit organizations and people who want to get involved to find suitable opportunities but also to free up resources for other important purposes.

Expected results and effects:

The project has the potential to contribute to positive social effects in the long term by increasing involvement in volunteer activities. By automating and streamlining ad writing, tagging and translation, we aim to achieve the following results: - Non-profit organizations will save time and resources by getting support in

creating volunteering missions and automatically having them translated and tagged with searchable keywords. - Volunteers will find it easier to find an assignment that fits their interests, skills and commitment Approach and implementation:

The project will be coordinated by the Volontärbyrån, who have long experience of non-profit involvement in Sweden and AI experts. By working together and sharing insights, best practices and technical knowledge, Volntärbyrån´s staff will increase their understanding and skills in the field of AI, supporting the

organization´s ability to use AI in future project and initiatives. The project will also include a reference group with the aim of strengthening organizational learning and gathering more perspectives. The project will be summarized and distributed in a short report.
