MunicipalReady: AI chat for increased participation

The project´s central objective is to increase participation among Tomelilla´s municipal residents with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). This is done through the development and testing of AI chat that summarizes and makes available political calls and protocols. The democratic process is strengthened by making information more accessible, understandable and interactive for citizens, which is expected to increase engagement and participation in political life in the municipality.

Expected results and effects:

The project tests automatic summaries of political calls and minutes, making the information more accessible to residents. Transcription and NLP to convert spoken meetings to text in real time are also being tested, making political discussions accessible to the hearing impaired. The tests are expected to increase commitment and participation in political issues.

Internally, the project is also expected to contribute to increased maturity in digitization and AI issues. As AI presents completely new opportunities and challenges, ethical aspects are included in the project. Approach and implementation: Denna text är maskinöversatt

The project can achieve a so-called ´Alpha release´ and is considered successful when the focus group of 40 inhabitants has used AI Chatten to summarize minutes and calls. At the same time, 8 employees have undergone AI-Swedens training and Tomelilla has a first AI policy document that decision makers add to the
