Purpose and goal:
To produce a drone with a range of 200 km and a maximum load of up to 15 kg. The drone can replace both helicopters and ground transport in several sectors, which lowers costs and reduces carbon dioxide emissions, emissions and noise. Expected results and effects:
Replace helicopters in operations that already partially use smaller drones today. They are characterized by high willingness to pay, experience and security procedures. Here, Katla provides lower costs and reduces risks for human harm.
Katla also wants to establish its drones in businesses that today use drones on a large scale, where Katla´s drones can drastically streamline and improve the business case. Such can be line inspection, property inspection, wind power, agriculture, forestry. Approach and implementation:
Take the scale prototype to full scale prototype by scaling up and flight testing the drone in size 40 kg max take off weight. The drone should handle up to 15 kg of cargo and have a range of up to 200 km. Set a first version of the processes to be able to produce the prototypes efficiently.
