Enabling petabit-per-second co-package optics with silicon nanophotonics

Purpose and goal:

The main purpose of this project is to develop the silicon nitride technology of Iloomina AB for mass-scale application. The project involves a the development of demonstrators along with tech-to-market analysis and development. Expected results and effects:

The final results will feature: 1. Demonstrators of Iloomina´s technology that have been validated by an industrial end user. 2. Enter into partnership and business deals to allow tech-to-market transfer. 3. Facilitate scale up of Iloomina as a high-tech company, enabling jobs and exports in the Swedish ecosystem.

Approach and implementation:

The project features development steps carried out by Iloomina in the form of design, fabrication, and testing. A key industrial actor and potential end-user will provide performance requirements and carry out testing to validate the outcome. The tech to market development and analysis will be conducted with the help of a business developer consultancy company.
