Purpose and goal:
The project will further develop a measurement system to obtain real-time data for temperature and chemical composition from metal melt during the production process. Expected results and effects:
The real-time data generated by the measurement system will enable a more efficient process, leading to reduced energy consumption and production costs. In the long run, the competitiveness of Swedish metal producers increases togehter with a decreased climate footprint for metal production, which contributes to the green transition.
Knowledge of how the measurement technology can be integrated into the producers´ control and quality systems will be obtained. Approach and implementation:
Development of measurement techniques, hardware and measurement system mainly takes place at institutes and SME in close cooperation with all project parties. The development work takes place in labs at the institutes and in experiment facility at one of the end-users. Final testing of the measurement system in a real production environment takes place at the end users´s facilities.
