Attracting EIC funding for Alzinova´s disease modifying therapeutic vaccine from Alzheimer’s disease

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the financial support was to help Alzinova with a successful EIC Accelerator application. Since the phase 1 proposal was accomplished with successful results, Alzinova will enter Phase 2 of the EIC proposal. Expected results and effects:

With financing from Vinnova, Alzinova was able to implement the first proposal in EICs Accelerator program. Among others, Alzinova was selected to proceed to Phase 2 and is now about to submit proposal for Phase 2 which will take place on March 13, 2024. With funding from Vinnova, Alzinova could focus on writing a well-founded proposal that focused on the core business and its possible impacts for future use.

Approach and implementation:

With funding from Vinnova, Alzinova was able to bring in external experts and together with them implement a well-written proposal supported by facts and arguments relevant to the EIC. Together with the above consultants, Alzinova was able to create a proposal that managed to get approved through EIC phase 1 and which hopefully also proves to be good enough for an approved phase 2.
