Purpose and goal:
The project´s aim is to ensure sustainable production without quality variations in high-pressure die casting. The project goal is to develop and commercialize analysis tools and process aids manufactured in high-temperature insulation. Expected results and effects:
Products made with recycled raw materials require different control and handling, to reduce process variation caused by recycled raw materials. In the project, the industrial need will be solved with innovative products. The end customer receives products with fewer process variations and a lower environmental footprint. The supplier receives lower energy consumption and less discarded material, which overall results in lower production costs.
Approach and implementation:
The project consists of 5 organizations where Bryne is the coordinating party. The project is divided into six work packages where the project begins with testing newly produced products by analyzing metal quality during die casting. Development of products in insulating fibers for industrial casting is carried out through two diploma works.
Measurement of quality and energy gain will take place on an ongoing basis and be documented. Finally, results are summarized, publications are made and a plan for further work is made.
