Quantum Sweden Innovation Platform

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to establish a functioning national quantum innovation platform. This includes having created long-term plans for organization, activities and relationships as well as having initiated public promotion and innovation support activities. The long-term overarching goal is a nationally anchored and coordinated platform that is based on existing support functions and organizations in the innovation system and that takes a comprehensive approach to turn quantum technology-related research results and ideas into innovation and benefit for society.

Expected results and effects:

The project is expected to contribute to the formation of a national "community" in quantum technology which enables an efficient collaboration between Swedish actors and better conditions for innovation and commercialization. Furthermore, the project is expected to contribute to an increased level of knowledge and awareness, that talent and resources are attracted to the area, that the visibility of Swedish quantum innovation increases, and that innovation-supporting activities can be carried out for companies and researchers so that more innovations lead to new business.

Approach and implementation:

The project is carried out within the framework of 6 work packages: Design and development of the platform; Basis for a national strategy and action plan related to quantum technology innovation; Gender equality in national quantum innovation and competence provision; Innovation supporting activities; Formation of national community; and Project management and administration.

Participating parties are: Chalmers, KTH Innovation, LU Innovation, Chalmers Industriteknik ( coordinator), LiU Innovation, GU Ventures, RISE, WACQT-IP, Ericsson, Scalinq and Con-Science.
