Purpose and goal:
The goal of the project is to test and validate an alternative instrument tool that enables integration into downstream workflows at different scales. The alternative instrument tool will be tested for functionality using real samples including mAb and cells, respectively. Expected results and effects:
The project, adds developmental and research efforts to the automation of a magnetic bead-based capture or isolation step. Approach and implementation:
Different equipment within the scope of scale up and automation undergo an in-depth validation. The focus lays on the compatibility of the equipment towards the MAGic BioProcessing MAGicBeads. Herein, different working parameters are thoroughly investigated with regards to flow rate, binding capacities, economic and environmental impact, and physical integrity.
Furthermore, the equipment is evaluated with regards to the integration of advanced analytical tools for advanced process control, as well as the integration of the equipment in existing manufacturing routines.
