Policies for a circular food system

Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim is to realize a circular value chain for food and at the same time promote a protein shift through insects. The main goal is to develop a basis for continued support to authorities regarding regulations and policies, both nationally and at EU-level.

Result goals:

Increase understanding of current regulations regarding the use of residual flows and insects in the food chain, as well as future regulations

Create an open platform, including a long-term management plan, to bring together authorities, industry players and policy experts Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Expected impact goals with the project are: Increase society´s resource efficiency through a transition to a more circular

food system and a more circular economy. Support the food industry´s opportunities to become climate sustainable Strengthen the growth of Swedish jobs and Swedish competitiveness internationally with regard to sustainable products and services. Promote the transition to alternative protein sources through a protein shift.

Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project includes 5 project parties, with Ecoloop as project manager.

The implementation takes place in different work packages (wp), where each wp has its own leader and its own deliverables. WP as below; WP 1 - Strategic analysis WP 2 - Risk analysis of research results HAZOP). WP 3 - Establishment and operation of platform (website) WP 4 - Development of strategy and plan to communicate and utilize project results

WP 5 - Project management The established website will be continuously updated with results and also with the project´s final report.
