Travel support 2023 Korea, Korea Eureka Days 30/10-1/11 2023

Purpose and goal:

By participating in Korea Eureka Days 2023, the 2030-Secretariat wanted to supplement and deepen contacts and business opportunities in South Korea for us and our partners, as well as increase knowledge about South Korea´s transformation in the transport sector and spread this knowledge to Swedish policy makers. We have more than achieved our aims and objective - and the follow-up has hardly even started yet!

Expected results and effects:

1) Additional and deepened contacts and business opportunities in South Korea for us and our partners: fulfilled, partly through planned match-making and Thematic pitch, partly through quickly arranged spontaneous meetings. Now followed up.

2) Increased knowledge about South Korea´s transformation in the transport sector with dissemination to Swedish policymakers: Fulfilled internally, now starting externally. This happened partly through the conference itself, especially the open sessions on electromobility, partly through complementary own initiatives in Seoul.

Approach and implementation: The travel grant enabled a three-part arrangement

1) Before: Eureka´s website (but not Sedex) enabled extensive exchange before the conference, including conversation with the participants. Reading of South Korea´s new policy in the area.

2) During: intensive days in Seoul with the conference, one-on-one meetings, special sessions, etc., as well as externally with e.g. autonomous buses.

3) After: Follow-up with contacts from the meeting, dissemination of information to 2030 partners and externally in the form of updated focus country report and special reports.
