Project Zebra

Purpose and goal:

Our objective with this project is to create a basis for increasing the innovation capacity of companies that have a clear connection to Agenda 2030. By developing these companies´ innovation level and ability to attract capital, we strengthen Sweden´s and the EU´s position in the area. The project is carried out at national level.

We have an ambition to create a sustainable transition, which requires new approaches that will result in a change in behavior among investors, companies and innovation environments. Expected results and effects:

Increased competence and collaboration between actors to develop companies with a focus on social sustainability from different perspectives and increase its investment maturity. As women more often run socially sustainable companies, we create a more equal business life while reducing the investment gap between male- and female-owned companies. We also want to contribute to the use of new KPIs and create more good examples that can help to inspire and exemplify success in social enterprises. We want to develop and train in impact measurement of sustainability.

Approach and implementation:

We make this possible by connecting new constellations of actors at the national level, which can create conditions for new collaborations and knowledge transfer. The program will have seven participating companies per round. At the end of the program, 21 companies have undergone the process and can demonstrate KPIs and metrics that reflect their societal benefit.

The process sets a framework for the social enterprises regarding the concepts and structure required to scale, internationalize and create increased attraction for investors.
