Final expansion project

Purpose and goal:

The project constitutes a final effort within the innovation program Metallic materials where, through an open collection process, sub-projects were collected that intend to investigate and implement previously interesting results or new ideas from previous research projects. This final effort consists of seven different sub-projects that relate to material characterization, investigation of new processing methods, implementation of tools and investigation of a new casting method.

Expected results and effects:

The project constitutes a final effort within the program Metallic materials which together with the call for proposals "Språngbräda till framtidens metalliska material" provides a basis for the innovation area to identify specific areas of interest to continue building on in order not to lose momentum in the innovation system while waiting for new conditions and funding models.

Approach and implementation:

The seven sub-projects REMI, CONTEXT, VILMA, ENYFOIL, ReTestBrass, DETECT and AluSurf are carried out as separate feasibility studies. The projects include lab tests, modeling and other investigations.
