Purpose and goal:
The purpose of this preparatory project is to create a consortium and in-depth collaboration and submit a competitive Horizon application.
We will focus our application on digital Building Information Modelling (BIM) of the actual infrastructure to create a digital twin over the life cycle of the road. The aim is to, in relation to the planned model, use sensors and digital systems during the physical construction of the infrastructure, its use, and maintenance, to create digital twins that enable cost reductions over the infrastructure´s entire life cycle.
Expected results and effects:
The expected results are a strong project consortium and a competitive application. The project proposal intends to develop digital solutions and prediction methods for efficient and preventive maintenance of mainly roads and bridges to enable zero-emission vision and reduce costs for construction and maintenance of road infrastructure over its life cycle.
Approach and implementation: The project activities will be organized into three work packages (WP).
WP1: Project management: Planning, follow-up, and reporting of the preparatory project; WP 2 Consortium formation: Contact all requested partners and determine working methods for the development of the application as well as develop and deepen cooperation between Swedish and German actors; WP 3 EU-Horizon application: Designing, writing and submitting a competitive application.
