Purpose and goal:

This study trip aimed at network development in the business and research arena for biocomposites in Brazil. The purpose of the trip is to realize an applied research effort around biomaterials from the Areca palm. Through the project´s network opportunities at SENAI, contacts were established to be able to take the project further with a focus on academia, industry and the agricultural sector as the fiber is connected to the raw material flows from the Areca palm.

Talks about a common development have been examined more closely and the conditions, direction and scope discussed in detail. Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Results in the form of concrete contacts in the area have been achieved.

Expected effects are a joint proposal for technology transfer in the biocomposite area for Vinnova´s call for proposals International collaboration for innovations with actors in Brazil, in collaboration with EMBRAPII Approach and implementation: The project has been carried out according to the objective and activities of the study trip.

In addition, extra contacts have been able to be created outside Vinnova´s arena as there was time to network and visit relevant actors during the duration of the project.

If more time had been available to carry out more customer meetings, the networks would probably have become stronger and more enduring over time.
