Through this, we hope to also enable innovative procurement in an industry that needs to find all possible ways to create robust and circular models and processes for the entire construction chain. The project should lead to well-established guidelines so that we, as a procuring organization, can request and allow solutions that contribute to spurring and developing climate-smart construction for all actors in the construction process.

When it comes to innovation in procurement, according to the Procurement Authority, it is important to open up and ask for the market´s proposals for solutions. The intention is for the Borlänge municipal group to be involved in driving the development of the construction industry forward. This must be done by first opening up dialogue about requirements in public procurement and then through a developed guideline for sustainable construction being able to promote innovation in the market through the eligibility requirements we set for procurement.
