Purpose and goal:
As one of four main actors, RISE has written and submitted a stage 2 proposal for a consortium consisting of academic, institute and SME partners (on April 23rd) to the Horizon Europe Framework Program (HORIZON) Innovative Health Initiative JU Call 4 (HORIZON-JU-IHI-2023-04-two-stage).
In stage 2 of the call for proposals the consortium proposal from step 1 has been harmonized with the industry consortium´s funding and needs, for a final proposal. Expected results and effects:
In the long run, pharmaceutical production must be made more sustainable. The overall objective of the project is to provide the pharmaceutical industry with clear decision support to design, operate and assess the effects for sustainable development of health care products in the entire value chain from design and production, to use and disposal. The core of the project lies in a Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) workflow/approach to design the "optimal" API production path also considering life cycle assessment (sustainability) thanks to AI-powered predictive models.
Approach and implementation: WP1 Strengthen the consortium
Map competencies against planned objective and activities. Complement the stage 1 proposal with industry input and capability, and answer questions from the evaluators. Set joint objectives, deliveries, and budget distribution. Specify milestones and deliverables. WP2 Collaboration between work packages and detailed planning of activities in the main application to IHI.
Work with all parts to be included in the proposal, after industry input. ( Objective, ambition, challenge, effect, methods, results) to reach all criteria in proposal.
