Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the project was to lay the foundation for creating a sustainable and efficient AI-driven software. This is expected to result in a further optimized operation of Moving Floor, reduced negative environmental impact from the farms and reduced use of antibiotics. Furthermore, the goal was to find local partners in Holland/Belgium to collaborate with to optimize the product for markets with strong legislation on emission reductions.
The project has resulted in found partners and two applications to international calls for proposals (within Eurostars and EU LIFE). Expected results and effects:
The result of the project is found project partners in Ghent University, ILVO, Wageningen University, Boerenbond, Inagro and Vocsens. Together, a strong consortium has been formed and project applications created. The projects have been divided as follows:
1. Eurostars (MF and Vocsens) - focus on development of Moving Floor´s AI-driven software that interacts with Vocsen´s microsensors. Together, a competitive solution for pig barns is created that optimizes cleaning and minimizes emissions. 2. EU LIFE - in this proposal all partners are involved and the focus is on circularity.
Approach and implementation:
Moving Floor has used Catalyze consulting firm to write the applications for Eurostars and LIFE. Catalyze has been instrumental in facilitating the formation of consortiums, agreements and coordinating the writing of the applications. Moving Floor has also traveled to Holland/Belgium twice to shape the consortium.
