Purpose and goal:
The project´s objective is to craft a strong EIC Accelerator funding proposal. We´ll start with a short proposal and required attachments (WP2), then create a comprehensive proposal with clinical evaluation, investigation plan, and budget (WP3). We´ll develop a detailed work plan and budget (WP4) and finalize the proposal with a business case and EIC-specific details (WP5). UpSpark assists in WP2, WP4, and WP5. The proposal targets one of EIC Accelerator´s 2024 application rounds.
Expected results and effects:
The planned EIC project is set to be a stepping stone for the clinical development of novel treatment for Head & Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma, an aggressive tumor with high unmet medical need. The treatment will be based on Akiram’s patent-protected antibody CD44v6. Thus, the Vinnova project is of huge importance for the progress in the development of innovative oncology treatment and for Akriam’s future competitiveness.
Approach and implementation:
The main goal of the project is to produce a robust proposal with good conditions to be awarded funding in the competitive EIC Accelerator program. To achieve this objective, we have planned the following activities: We will a) submit the Step 1 proposal (AP2), b) tprepare for the Step 2 proposal (AP3), c) develop a solid work plan and budget (AP4), and finally d) produce a strong Step 2 proposal (AP5).
The EIC project will be a stepping stone in the clinical development of an innovative cancer drug, as well as for Akiram Therapeutics´s future competitiveness.
