Signs of Change _ Strategic Project

Purpose and goal:

We present Signs of Change with localized research and new signs in strategic locations beyond Stockholm (SE) in Palo Alto (US), Tel Aviv (IL) and Singapore (SGP).

With workshops engaging innovation networks, reaching Swedish and International ecosystems across the globe exploring future challenges we expand on Signs of Changes Research and map impact and outreach of the initiative. We evolve the methodology around speculative design while establishing and sharing future-making as a collective practice.

Expected results and effects:

Engaging innovation networks, and ecosystems across the globe, we expand on the collection of Signs of Change and seek to process the impact and outreach of the initiative with quantitative and qualitative data sets.

With a newly developed XR/AR prototype of the signage, we plan to share international data through a virtual lens on actual street signs. We disseminate our impact mapping and global future research findings in events like Bifrost (US), South by Southwest (US), Sweden Innovation Days (SE), Almedalen (SE).

Approach and implementation:

- Ideating with Swedish and localized ´Signs of Change´ with 100+ participants in each location across cultures lifting overarching challenges while showcasing very local future potentials.

- Build competencies for Swedish and local actors in Futures literacy, organizational resilience and leading from the Future capacities - Evolve research outcomes into qualitative and quantitative measurable data sets - Develop an early AR/XR prototype to explore the concept around cross-globe urgency and capacities

- disseminate gained knowledge at international events
