Purpose and goal:
The purpose of this project is to connect research and practice by leveraging previous and ongoing investments in systems innovations and sustainability transformations being made by the Swedish aid sector and the research community in Sweden. Our goal is to collaboratively identify and evaluate new initiatives engaging in systems innovations. We aim to co-produce knowledge and strategies that strengthen their impact, fostering change in current approaches within development and aid. This effort is geared towards transforming development and achieving the SDGs.

To increase understanding of how to support system innovations and transformations in the development sector, including: 1) Identifying the transformative potential of existing initiatives supported by Swedish aid. 2) Leverage past and ongoing investments and build on scientific results and partnerships. 3) Benefit from the researchers´ experience in knowledge use. 4) Engage decision-makers and aid organizations in Sweden to accelerate the transition work and achieve the global goals for sustainable development.

The project will be led by SRC, with specific funding from EKH/LU in various parts of the project. RB will have a central role in developing case studies and the identification of "seed" initiatives. The project activities are organized in four "workpackages" (WP): WP1) Identify innovative "seeds" and design workshop for WP2.
WP2) Workshop and joint analysis of the transformation potential in "seeds". WP3) Conclude the lessons learned from WP2 and begin the analysis of the initiative´s scalability. WP4) Leadership, partnership and communication.
