Verification for growth 2024 at Linköping University

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to meet the continuous influx of ideas from researchers, students and employees at Linköpings Universitetet by providing stepwise verification and validation activities, which aim to reduce risk and create prerequisites for utilization through commercialization of the ideas. The project also aims to address the challenge of matching deeptech ideas with entrepreneurs.

Expected results and effects:

The project will result in a number of verification and validation activities aimed at supporting deeptech ideas from Linköpings Universitet. By addressing key issues around market needs, patent protection, entrepreneurial matchmaking, etc., the activities are expected to increase the likelihood of successfully attracting capital, with the effect of sustainable deeptech companies being formed.

Approach and implementation:

The VFT process is documented in its entirety in an internal steering document used by business coaches and innovation advisors, as well as several supporting documents and forms to manage the flow from receipt of idea to completed effort. In addition to the idea owner, the project execution involves several organizations in the support system around Linköpings Universitet, which jointly evaluate and improve the process continuously.
