The project will manage validation funding for innovative project and ideas, especially in deeptech, i.e. complex and advanced technology with its basis in research. The goal is to fund and thereby validate and develop approx. 60-70 project/year so they are taken closer to application and the market, are ready to be commercialized or prepared to secure continued funding for more extensive commercial/technical verification and continued funding.

Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** VFT will improve financing opportunities and create an efficient innovation process for early ideas and projects. An increased number project based on knowledge assets and IP from the university,

estimated 60-70 will be developed and verified in a structured way, both technically and commercially. This lays a foundation for better equipped project that have lower risk for further commercialization. A number of companies that continue on their own or via incubators are expected to be created.Furthermore, deals with customers is expected.

Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** KTH Holding shall, within the framework of the innovation office at KTH, manage funds within the framework of VFT as well as develop and verify project operationally. The management includes evaluation and selection,

handling and administration of externally purchased services for VFT funds, as well as follow-up of financed verification projects. Furthermore, the projects will be operationally supported continuously in the verification process.
