Study of parameters that affect treatment effects in different types of stormwater facilities

Purpose and goal:

The purpose is to develop improved and more reliable calculations (functions) of the treatment effect in various stormwater facilities that take site- and facility-specific conditions into account.

The goals are that the functions shall increase the accuracy of calculations by being based on more data and be implemented in the StormTac Web model during 2024, and reported in a journal published no later than March 2025. The results are to be reported during a conference no later than spring 2025. In these ways, the results are made available nationally and internationally.

Expected results and effects:

The project results are expected to be able to be used to produce improved and more reliable calculations (functions) of the treatment effect in various stormwater facilities that take site- and facility-specific conditions into account. Through implementation in StormTac Web, the results are made available nationally and internationally to

many users from municipalities, consulting companies, construction companies and universities which affects the choice of measures. Via articles and presentations, the methodology is also made available for general use in similar models. Approach and implementation:

The work takes place by compiling input data (e.g., well heights and wet pond water depths) from case studies compiled in the StormTac Database and for which there are relevant values of treatment effects. This takes place through literature studies and national/international contacts. Functions are then developed between treatment effects and input data.

Cooperation is planned with LTU, Tecomatic and other DRIZZLE partners. The results are reported at a DRIZZLE seminar, a conference and in a Swedish magazine. They are also implemented in StormTac Web for further spread and use.
