Sustainable Pharmaceutical Production and Development

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to address the common challenges in the pharmaceutical global value chain through cross-sectorial collaboration, knowledge transfer and co-creation by consolidation and further development of collaboration between the research community, pharmaceutical companies, technology providers (IndTech) and high-tech start-ups and accelerating sustainable development in the pharmaceutical industry. This national gathering of forces in Sweden creates opportunities to increase EU cooperation and contribute to the Swedish industry´s competitiveness.

Expected results and effects:

The gathering of the national actors creates discussion rooms, which enables the industry´s need-based ideation and innovation to identify and navigate future directions in sustainable production and development in the pharmaceutical industry´s value chain.

Furthermore, the project´s outcomes build the foundation of transition in the Swedish pharmaceutical industry for collaboration with its global value chain and pioneering its competitiveness. Approach and implementation:

To achieve the main goal, the project is planned to be implemented through three work packages with focus on forming the national consortium, creating the network between all actors in pharmaceutical-relevant sectors and domains nationally and internationally, and knowledge creation and transfer.
