PiiA Agenda - validation process

Purpose and goal: The purpose was to validate an innovation agenda that describes industrial needs and point out a future direction. The aim of the agenda was to: - Strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish industry with a starting point in the raw material and process industry. - Strengthen the competitiveness of technology suppliers.

- Strengthen academic and innovation environments

The validation has meant a stronger anchoring of the content of the agenda, and the creation of new cooperation channels within the innovation system. Expected results and effects:

Expected effects were to validate the agenda with additional stakeholders, as well as communicate it. The agenda is a guide for PiiA during the remainder of the program´s existing funding period. The project has delivered:

- A stronger and broader network of innovation environments and research and development funders, who are actively engaged in PiiA´s future activities.

- A number of completed working meetings with relevant innovation environments (regional, national, and international) which, like PiiA, focus on industry challenges. Approach and implementation: The project built on the network developed during the agenda work. The project has been carried out in three stages.

1. System-mapping, including innovation- and research and development environments, including various innovation programmes, which operate in the same or close areas related to the agenda´s target group (process and automation industry)

2. Meetings with representatives of these which were prepared through shorter interviews and ordering of the agenda. The meetings were supplemented with other data collection 3. Revision of the agenda
