Purpose and goal:
Scania´s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. This pilot project aims at the possibility of expanding to a more circular business for components. The goal of the project is to evaluate AI technology as support to streamline and quality-assure decisions regarding 2nd life path for an individual component. This project was carried out with support from the program Fordonsstrategisk Forskning and Innovation, FFI.
Expected results and effects:
In order to continue the development of the important sustainability work, this project is carried out to evaluate the possibilities of making the circular system more efficient. Expected results are that the AI model should provide quality-assured suggestions about optimal reuse options for components.
Approach and implementation:
Through an iterative working method and in collaboration between Scania and an AI company, a model with AI technology is developed and verified for effective decision-making regarding the optimum 2nd life path of an individual components. The work will be divided into requirements, development, verification and evaluation of results.
