Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

During the project, we have succeeded in identifying several large-scale processes with the potential to separate different fractions of graphene and nano-graphite from water-based suspensions containing a mixture of these, as well as to be able to separate graphene and nano-graphite from other components (e.g. impurities) in the suspension. Such a large-scale method has been able to be tested and evaluated with positive results map separation of graphene and nano-graphite based on the thickness of the flake.

Expected results and effects:

The properties of the suspensions that are fractionated and how these properties affect the fractionation in various processes have been clarified. A number of known industrial processes with good potential to meet the criteria for fractionation have been identified.
