Purpose and goal:
Luxbright is growing in the X-ray technology value chain, so it wants to develop a comprehensive integrated X-ray source utilizing Luxbright´s X-ray tubes (microfocus and cold cathode). This project aims to develop an X-ray source incorporating Luxbright´s adapted cold cathode tube and a new stationary X-ray generator developed by the project partner XRIS based on their existing portable X-ray generator.
Expected results and effects:
We will develop two model standards for an advanced X-ray source incorporating Luxbright´s X-ray tubes. The first model will be designed to complement the microfocus and diode cold cathode tubes, integrated with a stationary X-ray generator based on a portable version created by our partner XRIS. The second model will incorporate triode tubes with a specially designed X-ray generator. The new developments will be integrated into an X-ray source ready for application in Non-Destructive Testing.
Approach and implementation:
Working together with our partner XRIS, we will first adapt the cold cathode X-ray tubes for integration with generator systems. Then, we will develop two advanced X-ray source standard models and enhance the grid control system, while XRIS will develop the stationary X-ray generator for a triode tube. In parallel, we will work on embedded software, customizing the UI and control panel.
Finally, Luxbright´s tubes will be integrated with generators and tested for long-term stability and performance.
