The SRS secretariat

SRS is an association of active Swedish space scientists and technicians. However, SRS is an association without its own funding. This limits its ability to promote Swedish space science. For example, SRS does not have the financial resources to maintain its own website and newsletters. In order to function optimally, SRS needs its own long-term functioning Secretariat with its own web.

This will allow us to efficiently promote SRS activities and communicate with the entire Swedish space community. The goal of this project is to run, and continuously develop, the SRS web and the SRS secretariat.

The project costs are: Salary for the secretariat staff, i.e., an undergraduate student working as webmaster (7% of full time for 10 months), salary costs for a supervisor for the student (1%, 10 months), travel expenses for the webmaster to the national SRS conference, and costs for the web hotel and required ad-ons.

The Secretariat will initially be hosted by Umeå University.
