Purpose and goal:

During the trip, our delegation engaged in in-depth dialogues with key industry players, deepening our understanding of semiconductor market dynamics and technological advancements. These discussions laid the foundation for valuable follow-up meetings with major semiconductor companies and stimulated the exploration of promising collaboration opportunities, highlighting the synergistic potential between Swedish and South Korean actors in semiconductor technology.

Expected results and effects:

-Strengthened international ties and established a robust network with South Korean actors, which improves Sweden´s strategic position in the global semiconductor industry.

-Gained extensive insight and identified cooperation opportunities, which lay the foundation for future innovations and economic growth through partnerships.

-Facilitated a continuous knowledge exchange, which promises long-term positive effects on Sweden´s innovation ecosystem and its position within the semiconductor sector. Approach and implementation:

The trip, organized by Ignite Sweden, focused on visits to leading R&D centers, matchmaking events to strengthen ties between Swedish and South Korean companies, as well as a strategic visit to Business Swedens´s office in Seoul. These efforts provided an in-depth understanding of the South Korean industrial ecosystem, market dynamics and business culture.
