Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The goal of the project is to develop Cognes, a smartphone application for early dementia screening based on facial analysis and machine learning. Together with MSCA researcher Natalia Calvo Barajas, specialized in AI and human-computer interaction, we will create a non-invasive and user-friendly tool that identifies digital biomarkers. The goal is faster diagnosis and better treatment of dementia, and broad use in healthcare and research.
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project is expected to lead to a finished MVP enabling early diagnosis of dementia via facial analysis and AI, where machine learning algorithms are used to detect biomarkers linked to dementia. Natalia Calvo Barajas will improve both algorithms and user interface for increased accuracy and usability. In the long term, the project is expected to result in wide use in clinical settings, research and global dissemination for better diagnostics and intervention.
Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project is carried out in three phases: 1. Natalia Calvo Barajas is responsible for the development and improvement of the machine learning algorithms, which includes model training and optimization based on the collected dataset. 2. Integration of algorithms in the application´s backend and development of user interfaces to ensure scalability and efficient data processing. 3.
Clinical validation and user testing in various environments to ensure precision, ease of use and long-term sustainability for global application.
