Fix the future - menus show the way to a sustainable and resilient food system

With strategic foresight and future-driven design as methods, the project aims to produce prototypes of future recipes and menus. By portraying the food system of the future in concrete menus and recipes, the basis for dialogue and innovation is created around how the prototypes of the future can be created. The goal is to develop and test food concepts from the future that create new ideas and collaborations about how the food of the future tastes and is eaten in a Sweden that has successfully navigated the transition to sustainability.

The project will shape a future where Sweden´s food system has successfully succeeded in the transitions within sustainability and preparedness in two different climate scenarios. By developing future prototypes for what the food in these scenarios is and letting food players from the private and public sector meet them, we expect new ideas and proposals for collaborations to be created.

Signal reconnaissance and scenario building 2. Scenario workshop with representatives from the food system 3. Construction of future prototypes

4. Testing of prototypes in connection with public events

5. Completion and final testing of prototypes - the finished prototypes in the form of recipes and menus are printed, sample dishes are prepared and tested on focus groups of meal actors.
