The recruitment office: Are we fit for fight?

Purpose and goal:

The prototype aims to clarify how prepardness for contingencies is strongly linked to public health. It also aims to demonstrate a future where decreased food-related illnesses enable increased preparedness in Sweden. Our objective is to create powerful "trigger material" that not only arouses emotions and engagement, but also leads to concrete actions in the near future.

Expected results and effects:

We strive to create an experience that evokes strong reactions where participants can experience, with all their senses, how a future enlistment could affect them personally. After the implementation of the prototype, policy makers in relevant fields, national media and the general public are expected to discuss the link between public health and preparedness.

The prototype contributes to the transformation platform PUSH´s mission that "By 2035, the food system promotes a healthy life for everyone". Approach and implementation:

We will physically illustrate how a visit to the armed forces´ recruitment office in 2035 could look like. The prototype is supposed to be constructed as an experience tunnel in five stages. We plan to engage several target groups and we demonstrate our prototype in a public place where the public can experience and react.
