SolarSimple: Standardized engineering solutions for solar heat for industrial processes

Purpose and goal:

This project aims to develop a competitive proposal with confirmed Swedish coordination for the CET Partnership Joint Call 2024. SolarSimple aims to pioneer efficient solar central designs, cutting costs and enhancing yield. By integrating R&D, modelling, prototyping, and impact assessment, SolarSimple propels next-gen solar heat for industrial use. Additionally, it contributes significantly to achieving an EU economy with zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Expected results and effects:

1. At least 2 Swedish partners connected with backgrounds in renewable and sustainable energy, representing the private sector.

2. Partnerships initiated between more than 3 organizations and cooperation between at least 2 European countries for future international innovation projects. 3. Delivery of a 17-page pre-proposal to be submitted for the first stage. 4. Delivery of a 30-page final proposal to be submitted for the second stage.

5. Detailed financial and process plan templates for similar international projects. Approach and implementation: 1. First stage proposal design and submission for CET Partnership (November 2024). 2. Second stage proposal design and submission for CET Partnership (March 2025). 3. Build a consortium with new international partners.

4. Assignment and definition of work packages (WP) with detailed task descriptions, milestones and deliverables within the scope of each partner´s expertise and work area. 5. Budget definition. 6. Proposal writing.
