Planning grant for U-Lime project proposal

Preparation of an internationally competitive project application from the annual call for proposals from EU RFCS. The main idea of the U-Lime project (Utilization of secondary lime-containing materials for steelmaking processes) is that each lime molecule should be used more than once by utilizing secondary lime materials that can fully or partially replace virgin lime. The use of recycled lime will increase the circularity of steel production and create industrial symbiotic ecosystems.

The goal of the planning grant has been achieved, a project consortium has been formed and an RFCS proposal has been successfully submitted. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

To prepare a competitive international proposal the focus was on carefully evaluating and selecting members for the consortium. A general overview of the problem is required, and the project does not focus on finding a single solution but seeks synergies. There has been a very high interest from many partners to participate, and we selected 10 partners participating in the proposal, from 5 countries in Europe.
