Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s objective: - Map today´s bio-based carbon flows in value chains within the agricultural sector and the wood industry
- Produce an illustrative description of biogenic carbon flows from primary production onwards in the value chains for both agricultural and forest-based value chains. - Identify areas for a more efficient use of the biomass - Identify new areas of use for residual flows and through stakeholder dialogue discuss development needs.
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The expected effects of the project are that a total picture of the biogenic carbon flows from the green industries in Sweden is reproduced. The result can serve as a basis for future efforts in R&D to increase resource efficiency and extend the carbon cycles in the circular bioeconomy of the future.
An additional effect of the project is to gather actors who can drive this development further. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project is about mapping the biogenic carbon flows from the agricultural sector and the wood industry. This study extends previous work that showed the biogenic carbon flows from forest raw material.
The project consists of two parts. Biogenic carbon flows from the agricultural sector that CIT is responsible for and biogenic carbon flows in the wood industry that RISE is responsible for. The goal is a complete picture of biogenic carbon flows from the arable industry in Sweden and how much reaches society, exports and leaves the atmosphere.
