Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project aims to, through an AI-based real-time system, automate the rescue services´ handling of roadblocks and thus make the planned travel routes more reliable and contribute to reducing the time to reach the person in distress. Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
An automated system can reduce the response time of the emergency services when called out. This through more efficient route selection and thereby improved accessibility for rescue vehicles. The project also contributes to improving safety for the public, as the risk of the rescue service´s response being delayed due to blocked travel routes is reduced.
Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project intends to develop and implement a real-time system for route planning in a test environment. The project includes a mapping phase, where the technical conditions in each rescue service are identified. Sensors read whether there are any traffic obstacles in the current geographic location and, together with current information from other sources, the accessibility of the route is analyzed.
The project is led by Räddningtjänsten Gotland, with participants from the rescue services in Norrtälje and Västervik.
