The purpose of the conference is to provide a meeting place where both researchers and clinicians can exchange new results and ideas to open up new collaborations across professional diciplins and between different universities, and to make visible local innovation projects that are carried out with the aim of improving sleep habits and reducing sleep problems in both children, adults and the elderly.This year´s theme is "Sleep in a modern world" and addresses the challenges and opportunities for sleep that patients and caregivers face in today´s 24-hour society.The scientific orientation is based on that sleep problems need to be addressed from both interprofessional and multidisciplinary perspectives.
The working group for the conference therefore include researchers and clinicians with backgrounds such as nurses, doctors, psychologists, biomedical analysts as well as a poet and literary scholar, as well as representatives of patient associations.Organization: The conference is organized by the Sleep and Health Network in the Swedish Nurses Association, in collaboration with the Research Platform Health in Collaboration at Kristianstad University.
The Network was formed in 2004, and is a network for those who in their profession meet people with sleep problems, such as nurses, biomedical analysts, psychologists, physiotherapists, doctors, dentists and occupational therapists.
The network´s intentions are that different areas of interest within sleep and health can be coordinated and contribute with ideas, change work from new or existing research and from experience-based knowledge.Arrangement: The conference is held at Kristianstad University in connection with World Sleep Day 2025, 12-14 March 2025.
Course days in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia aimed at healthcare professionals is offered on March 11-13.Target group: Researchers, students and clinicians in health sciences related to sleep problems. Number of participants: 100-150
