The Network for Public Organization and Governance

The Network for Public Organization and Governance (NOOS) will organize a national conference on February 6-7, 2025, aiming to gather doctoral students and supervisors from Sweden (and Swedish-speaking institutions in Finland).

NOOS is a national network that has been active for several years and is coordinated from the School of Public Administration at the University of Gothenburg.

The 2025 conference will be hosted by Stockholm University and aims to contribute to multidisciplinary knowledge dissemination.

Some areas that the conference is expected to address include co-creation of welfare services, public values and value creation, interorganizational governance and collaboration between public and private actors, as well as the impact of digitization on the public sector.The 2025 conference marks the 11th in a series where doctoral students and supervisors can gather to network and collectively contribute to national knowledge dissemination.

What sets NOOS apart is its focus on doctoral students´ papers, while senior participants attend to provide feedback and support for the doctoral students´ professional development. The conference is traditionally free of charge, including the 2025 edition.

Funding sought for the conference´s implementation will cover expenses such as doctoral students´ travel and accommodation, travel and accommodation for panel discussants, lunch and dinner for all participants, as well as venue costs at Stockholm University.Information about the conference will be disseminated through the network´s 21 representatives (at 14 institutions in Sweden and Finland), via LinkedIn, and through relevant neighboring networks.
