Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The purpose of this project is to complete the doctoral studies that began in 2020. Two previous project within NFFP7 and NFFP8 with partial funding from Vinnova have mostly contained experimental and computational studies dealing with aeroelastic samples in separated flow and the influence of increased surface roughness. The concrete goals for ADiSS 3 are the compilation of project results that result in a journal article and finally in a doctoral thesis.
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project is part of the work to strengthen GKN´s competitiveness in the turbomachine area. The use of frontier workers in the project is particularly important for knowledge transfer between industry and academia. The project aims at a fundamental understanding of aeroelasticity in compressors and how this can be combined with modern materials and computational technology.
The results that come out of the project in the form of improved construction methods will lead to more efficient aircraft engines. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project starts 2024-09-01 and ends 2025-05-31. It contains three work packages of which one is project management by the industry and the other contains a final measurement campaign focusing on blade aerodynamics with representative surface roughness/wear and supporting calculations. The third work package is synthesis of results in the form of publications and thesis.
The journal article is the final publication required to complete the doctoral studies and submit the dissertation for public defense.
