Purpose and goal: The aim and objective with the proposed strategic project is:
1. to identify what future education in sustainable aviation should contain, including both college and university undergraduate programs, postgraduate training, and lifelong learning for professionals,
2. how these should be designed so that they are of the highest class and attractive to a wider target group than today, as well as
3. carry out and communicate activities that promote competence provision in sustainable aviation together with intended new target groups. Expected results and effects:
Expected effects are increased awareness of aeronautics as a career path for new target groups and strengthened contact networks. Expected quantitative results include: - 5 online courses for professionals (lifelong learning) - 5 participants/course in pilot round, longterm appr. 20 participants per course, i.e. 100 annually
- 20+ events together with Aerospace Cluster Sweden, Saab, GKN etc., a total of 400 participant.
- 5+ social media posts for these events, a total of 100+ posts during the project, and established social media practices to better reach underrepresented groups. Approach and implementation: The project work is organized in the form of six work packages, WPs: - WP1: Project management - WP 2: Needs identification
- WP 3: Skill development - WP 4: Interest-generating activities - WP 5: Academy-industry collaboration (national)
- WP 6: Case: Academy-industry collaboration case study co-created between several universities and one of the companies in the project
The project is carried out by SARC, Swedish Aerospace Research Center, Saab and GKN in collaboration with Aerospace Cluster Sweden. The parties are part of project teams and report to SARC´s steering group.
