Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the project is to understand and analyze young people´s knowledge and associations with the bio-based industry, within the textile, chemical, and forestry sectors. The goal is to develop strategies and tools to effectively attract and engage young talents through a target group survey. The project is designed to support the Industrial Graduate School Resource-smart Processes and specifically the project "Strengthened conditions for education at master´s level".
Expected results and effects:
Through the project, we expect to gain deep insights into young people´s knowledge and associations with the bio-based industry. The results will provide a critical foundation for companies, educational coordinators, and policymakers to develop and formulate targeted strategies, initiatives, and policies to attract young people to the textile, chemical, and forestry industries.
This knowledge is crucial for proactively managing and preventing future skills shortages within the bio-based industry. Approach and implementation:
The project is carried out in collaboration with Ungdomsbarometern, which is responsible for the entire survey process, including both a quantitative survey and qualitative focus groups. BioInnovation coordinates the project and contributes industry-specific knowledge to ensure that the research is well adapted to our needs and objective. The results will be used to improve the supply of skills within the bio-based industry.
